Three captains named for 2019 campaign

The CHS Boys Soccer program is proud to announce our 2019 season captains- Cooper Ashcraft, Colby Ciffolillo, and Alejandro Correal.  All three are members of the CHS class of 2020.

Cooper Ashcraft
Ashcraft has been a member of the varsity squad since his sophomore year.  He was a major contributor to the Bulldog back-four this past fall for most of the season. His leadership as a junior helped to lead the Bulldogs to its second straight season with double-digit wins.  He is the ultimate sportsman- competing hard but always playing with class and dignity. He is a member of the CHS Track & Field team in the spring. He is a great academic role-model as well as he is a high honors student.
Colby Ciffolillo

Ciffolillo has also been a member of the varsity squad since his sophomore year. Over the past two seasons he has contributed in many ways and in many positions. He is a team-first guy. An honor-roll student, Ciffolillo is currently a key member of the undefeated Bulldog Boys Hockey team. He also plays Baseball for the 'dogs in the spring.

Correal will be leading the Bulldogs next fall as a four-year varsity player. During that time he has played 17.5 games in goal, allowing 20 goals and earning 5 shutouts. This past fall, he helped the squad both in goal and in the field, as he would bounce in and out of goal to help add some dynamic play to the attack- something unheard of in high school soccer.  Correal's senior year will certainly be an interesting one as he enters the season as both a goalkeeper and field player. He also plays on the varsity lacrosse team in the spring.

Alejandro Correal
These three certainly have some big shoes to fill as our graduating captains- Paul Corcoran, Paolo Ruggeri and Griffin Roach all made a huge mark on the Bulldog Boys Soccer program.

They will be leading a scrappy, hard-working, young squad with limited experience in the fall.  Their challenge is great, but their teammates are leaders in their own right and collectively, this group is ready to take on the road ahead.

Be sure to congratulate them and wish them well!
