Season starts off with heartbreaking draw
The squad started the 2015 campaign with a difficult road game at North Attleboro on a VERY hot Wednesday afternoon. The team was up for the challenge early on as a beautiful through ball was delivered by Ben Waterhouse to a streaking Joey Basile who buried his first chance of the season. The team continued solid play through early in the 2nd half before giving up a goal off an NA restart.
Freshman Griffin Roach opened his Bulldog scoring account shortly after the NA goal on a great individual play from the left side of the box, giving CHS the lead again. Kevin Messinger had found Roach with a fine pass leading to the goal.
The unthinkable happened when the Bulldogs allowed a goal on an NA direct kick from just outside the box with just 3 seconds remaining resulting in a 2-2 draw.
The team will look for it's first win of the season on Wednesday against KP as the team heads into a 3 game in 4 days stretch.
