Good luck to our members of the class of 2022

Claude Petit-Frere, Elija Delva, Jake Morgan, Zach Dowling, Jacob Crugnale,
Jay Kelleher, Charlie McKinney, Dylan Baird, Giovanni Ruggeri, Erik Valdovinos

A very special class of ten soccer seniors walked the stage at Canton High School's graduation ceremony today.

This class has made a huge impact over the past four years in our soccer program and beyond.  They persevered through a world-wide pandemic- wearing masks and playing by alternate rules but never complaining.

They are amazing role models for our younger student athletes.  They set the bar high for future Bulldog soccer players in all areas of high school soccer- from work ethic to commitment to results.... from academic excellence...from great sportsmanship to team-first play.

This class of ten has simply been amazing.

Here are some of the team's accomplishments during their time here:

  • 2021 State Finalists (14-5-4) which featured 4 upset, road wins
  • 2020 Hock Cup Semi-Finalists (6-3-3)
  • Team record since their final two seasons- 20-8-7
  • Have supported great causes including support of Sanfilippo Syndrome

All ten of these young men have been true scholar-athletes with all ten of them consistently earning great grades. They will each be continuing their academic careers at great colleges and universities this fall:

Claude Petit-Frere-Drexel University in Philadelphia
Elija Delva- University of Massachusetts- Lowell
Jake Morgan- University of New Hampshire
Zach Dowling- Roanoke College in Virginia
Jacob Crugnale- Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston
Jay Kelleher- Siena College in New York
Charlie McKinney- Seton Hall University in New Jersey
Dylan Baird- Boston University
Erik Valdovinos- Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire
Giovanni Ruggeri- Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston

Thank you to this history-making class for keeping CHS Boys Soccer moving forward toward our goal of excellence.  You have made a huge impact! And thanks for the memories, too! Your run to the finals was amazing!
